(Feb. 20, 2026) – A month after nominations opened, five residents have returned the paperwork to run for local office in May, according to a list released by the Ayer Town Clerk’s office. The annual town election will be held on May 12, 2026.
Meanwhile, there are 12 open seats, including two seats on the Planning Board and one on the Regional School District Committee. Residents have until Friday, March 20th at noon to request nomination papers.
Parks Commissioners: There are two open seats for Parks Commissioner. Two residents have taken out and returned nomination papers to seek 3-year seats. They are Brenton Kubik and James B. Pinard Jr.
Housing Authority: There is one Housing Authority seat. Two residents have returned nomination papers. They are Maria Bergmann and Peter Kush. This is a 5-year seat.
Select Board: Jannice Livingston, the current chair, has returned nomination papers and will seek another 3-year term on the Select Board.
